Completed Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at the main Breckland Council Offices in Dereham.  It is an individual’s responsibility to ensure that their nomination paper is received by the deadline (4pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023).

When delivering/submitting nomination papers to the Electoral Services Team, they should be handed to elections staff located in the Breckland Council Conference Suite, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, NR19 1EE – if any candidate would like an informal check of nomination papers please ask and a member of the elections team staff will undertake an informal check.  Please do not leave the delivery of nomination papers until the last day for nominations, we are expecting over 700 parish nominations and the earlier you get the forms in to the team the greater the time period is to make any corrections, if necessary, in time for the close of nominations on Tuesday 4 April 2023 at 4pm.

All three forms: 1a Nomination Paper, 1b Home Address form & 1c Candidates consent to nomination MUST be returned by the close of nominations otherwise the nomination will be rejected. Please also note that all the document pack should be returned including the sections relating to the relevant legislation (Pages 10 -13 of the Nomination Pack)
